Chenée Tyson, M.D., RPVI, FACS is board certified in vascular surgery and general surgery. She is also certified in vascular interpretation by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Her special interests include peripheral artery disease and limb salvage, carotid artery disease, and venous disease.

About Dr. Tyson

Dr. Tyson earned a Doctorate of Medicine degree with distinction in community service from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, as a Rochester Early Medical Scholar. After graduation from medical school, Dr. Tyson completed general surgery residency, fulfilling her chief year at the University of Colorado Denver Campus in Aurora, Colorado.

She then completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York. In her practice, she has taken a lead role in vascular surgery education and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery for Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

She is a member of a number of medical societies including the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery. Dr. Tyson was a William J. von Liebig research fellow at Harvard University in 2009 and has presented research locally and nationally. She continues to have an interest in clinical research and is committed to community outreach for the increased awareness, prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases.
