In the ever-changing world of healthcare, the new breakthroughs in technology have given physicians the ability to provide more effective healthcare, allowing patients faster recovery times, fewer days in hospitals, and ultimately making it more affordable.

That is how Dr. Chad Laurich envisioned and developed Vascular & Interventional Specialists of Siouxland. He has a deep desire to educate and treat the residents of Siouxland with advanced technology and medical techniques that provide complete world class vein and vascular care. And, that didn’t stop there as the need was even greater in rural communities around the Siouxland area. Currently, VIS travels to 18 clinics in various towns around the tri-state area.

The clinic and procedural suite are located in Dakota Dunes and is comprised 5 fellowship-trained, board certified physicians and nurse practitioners, along with 35 supportive care providers on staff. The physicians at VIS specialize in vascular surgery, interventional radiology and several other forms of minimal invasive vein and arterial care. VIS also offers several screenings to prevent, diagnose, treat, and monitor their patients. From vascular ultrasound to intravascular ultrasound, angiography and venography their passion is to help the patient take control of their health.

“Our area is becoming well known for the VIS Center and our personable staff, who are passionate about providing a patient VIP service,” states Dr. Laurich. “You do not need a referral from your family physician to be seen at VIS.” He went on to explain, “We strive to serve our community with their first consultation appointment within three weeks of calling the VIS front desk.”

Before moving into the Siouxland area Dr. Laurich was a one of the leading physicians living and practicing in Sioux Falls. He along with his wife, Lindsey and 3 sons relocated to the Siouxland area more than three years ago. The family enjoys traveling to tennis tournaments for the boys, camping and hiking in the mountains, canoeing and fishing. They also enjoy spending time with their rescue pets, Rocky and Norm. Chad’s wife, Lindsey is Principal/Director of Education at Siouxland Christian School and they are both pioneers in their respective fields of educating others and serving Siouxland.

VIS has many success stories, but Dr. Laurich recalls one of a 97-year-old patient who had severe aches, and was soon destined for a retirement home. She was nearly bed ridden due to the problems with her feet, legs and back. Dr. Laurich was able to do a non-invasive treatment for her varicose veins which allowed her to be able to enjoy life and walk again, and remain independent in her home.
